That vacuum line comes from a valve on the back side of the intake manifold. The rubber hose and hard plastic line that make up that vacuum line are notorious for becoming brittle and disintegrating. The line should run from the valve near the pump, down the exhaust side of the head, around the back of the head to an electric valve mounted on the back of the intake manifold. You should be able to find some remains of the line if you look along that route. Of course you'll need to remove the plastic engine cover to get a better look.
