Auction, and you are in Canada? Are you going to fly down and take possession?
I am very, very, very distrustful of auctions. lots of people get good deals, but one bad deal can cost dearly.

Here is another thought for finding recommendations:
Go to "Member List", click on that
Go to "search this forum, select "Advanced Search". click
Enter "Houston" for location...bottom of the page select "sort by" last visit.
Search
This will give you a list of current participants in Houston. PM 10 of them for shop/PPI recommendations. Or pick the 10 top people also with over 50 posts...etc
Instead of hoping someone passes your thread and responds, you can take it to them (in a polite way...)
