IKE is the formal abbreviation for the cluster... I don't remember the actual name, folks here can chime in.
Tamper dot is a fat dot, located next to words "miles" and "km", and it happens when the VIN number of cluster doesn't match the VIN inside the LCM, the Light Control Module, and/or the mileage in IKE and LCM differ by more than 200 miles (or, is it 200 kms?). The replacement cluster needs to be programmed with correct VIN, and correct mileage - there is limited number of times that IKE and LCM can be programmed, and they usually are programmed to the highest mileage between the two. So, if your current car has 50,000 miles, and donor cluster has 35,000 miles, the donor cluster can be programmed for 50,000. If your car has 35,000 miles and donor cluster has 50,000 miles, you can't just change the mileage to the lowest of the two. I am not saying that it is not possible, I am saying that the process in this case becomes much more involved, and borderline legality...
