Repair cable for ignition circuits

In the case of the seatbelt tensioner and side airbag ignition circuits, increased transition resistances in the plug-in connections mean that the fault pattern ”Resistance too high” can occur. The fault is frequently only present sporadically.

Is the following fault pattern present?
•Resistance too high

•Fault currently not present


it is usually the case that the pyrotechnic unit for the seatbelt tensioner or side airbag is undamaged!

For sustained fault elimination, a repair cable must be fitted. The extent of the repair is described in the following Service Information bulletins:
