Hi I had this issue a while back, it was the steering angle sensor was out of its limits.
My steering wheel was a bit on the squiff but the car still drove in a straight line and didn't pull when braking.
Had a full geometry check and adjusted , steering wheel sensor reset , steering wheel set straight and all good.
Never had issue since and that was a couple of years ago.
