Maybe I've missed this with my searching. Is anyone aware of LED License Plate lights for the E53 which are not simply replacements for the OEM festoon bulbs? What I mean is, I don't want any kind of bulb with uses the same contact system as the festoons, as I'm convinced this contributes to the problem. I'd like some sort of LED assembly that connects directly to the harness on the upper hatch. Surely I'm not the only one who wants to go with this type of solution. Anyone?
