Feeler: 2003 X5 4.6is
Hey guys. Been a while...
Been hanging out with the Shelby crowd for the last few years. My history with this board: 2002 X5 4.6is, 2006 X5 4.8is. And now, a 2003 X5 4.6is. Estorial Blue on Black Leather with Sport Seats and Nav. Mileage is about 78,000.
I bought her from a guy up in the Woodlands just north of Houston. He sold it since he did not have a warranty and got burned on the water pump re-do: ~$2800.
I have a warranty through Endurance. Since I've owned her over the last few months, I have:
-Upgraded all pads to EBC Red Stuff
-Clay bar/wax the beast
-Changed oil, intake and microfilters
-Flushed ALL fluids (both differentials, transfer case, transmission with filter kit, brake flush, anti-freeze and rotors was by previous owner)
-Replaced spark plugs
-Replaced valve cover gaskets
-Bought Lloyds carpets all around in Berber
-Installed Alpina badging on O.E. Style 87 wheels and body in lieu of Roundels.
-Replaced the left driver door's foot trim; it was ripped.
Tires are all-season Michelins with about 6 month's tread left.
Has a bull bar across the front that I have grown fond of
Has a 'Level 3'(?) BMW trailer hitch (BMW wants $750 to REMOVE it !!!). That's not right.
It has original suspension with rear air leveling set up.
KBB shows a range of upwards of $18,500. I will be providing pics soon and I will be asking $19,500. Why? Because I've done all the work for someone. All the new owner will have to do is drive it.
Everything works. The X has been refreshed and is now ready for the next 78,000 miles.
Reason for selling? I want to find another one to work on. I'm retired and bored! I see this as fun.
Ethics: Unquestionable. References upon request.
