Gary it wasn't that bad was it?
I actually found that wetting the channel and glass slightly with glass cleaner made it much easier to get the new piece in, you need a little bit of lubrication on the glass.
I was having a hell of a time installing it with the channel and with the strip being 100% dry, if you did it like that, God bless you sir! I got frustrated and sprayed some glass cleaner in the channel, top of glass and on the strip itself and it went in in about a minute. Glass cleaner dried in the sun and its been good to go ever since.
