Soooo....I did all of the steps above. After I reconnected the battery I let the cd in the DVD player for about 25 min and nothing.

In addition, there was no red light and just to be clear, we are talking about the red light on the DVD player, NOT the one that is at the top right of the head unit, correct? What is that anyway?

So it looks like the DVD player is not reading the disk...is spinning for sure, but thats it. Oh well, I was looking to upgrade to an aftermarket nav like the dynavin or ebay equivalent...
