People forget what it is to be new.

There is no factory tow package. There is an OE tow kit (receiver plus electrics) that is dealer supplied, installed by dealer Indy or DIY. It can be done at delivery or later, no difference.

All engines will tow that weight. 30i won't do it as quickly; 35i/35d/50i will do it more easily. OE hitch kit comes recommended. It includes OE trailer wiring which disables rear PDC, enables trailer stability control in the DSC, etc.

6 cyl is easier to work on but there aren't any lemons. 6 cyl is balanced; V8 is 2/3 of a V12 and sounds like it but some like that.

The more options you get the more there is to go wrong. Most common problems aren't with engines, but things like cameras/air suspension/electronics etc.
