Are you thinking that "it was an issue with the AIT (air intake temperature) sensor." will translaye into "remove the AIT, replace and problem solved"?!?!?!??!

My first AIT code on my 2010 resulted in $4000+ of work and ultimate lemoning.

But more to the point, the system traps a reading that is out of range...this DOES NOT MEAN THE SENSOR IS BAD...it usually means something ELSE is wrong causing the DME to sense something out of range.

You are shooting in the dark here... you need a computer to read codes, operating parameters, etc, etc

ALSO, BMW may have some emissions issues in the Denver area with the elevation...do a search, something might be up. Have you spoken to the dealer yet?
