Part availability was horrible back in the '90s. Tried to get a replacement prop shaft (CV joints were shot). No idea why Audi WELDED the CVs to the shaft!

Ended up sending my prop shaft to Audi Germany, they cut the old ones off the shaft, welded new CVs on, balanced and re-painted. The '85 Coupe GT Quattro was off the road for almost over a month!

Such BS I sold it shortly after that.

Hope they have their US parts issues sorted by now.
