Get yours fixed. Should be cheaper.

Not sure about the CL add. You may want to call him and ask what the hub bore is.

Should fit, I've seen them on a few E53s in Toronto.

Offset is high in the rear. So if they fit they'll be further inside the wheel well than your OE rims were.

Also, as mentioned above. Check the hub bore. You may need hub rings if those are meant for the e70+ X5's.

You can see many of the X5 wheels (e84 X1/e83 X3/f25 X3/e53 X5/e70 X5/e71 X6) at this link (as well as all other BMW model's wheels). Feel free to bookmark the following site for future reference : All BMW wheel styles X | BmwStyleWheels.com

The CL pics you linked us to (Wheel Style 214) is an e70 wheel (or possibly e71 X6 wheels). You should ask what the wheel bore is because the e71 X6 has a split wheel hub bore...one axle has a 74.1mm hub...and the other axle has a 72.56mm hub.

If they are e70 wheels...then the hub is too large for the e53 and you'll need to use 4 hub centric rings to make them fit. If they are for the e71 X6...then you only need 2 hub centric rings...to use on the two wheels that will have a 74.1mm center bore.

The chart below can help figure out which wheels are compatible to other BMW models...or what would need to be modified (wheels hubs bored out) or if you need other items like wheel adapters etc:
