[90% solved] 4.8is - mysterious wire/plug - front left - auxiliary heating

There is an unused and uncapped plug near the aux heating. The X is equipped with servotronic (which is working, aux also).

Just a single green wire any ideas?

Nearly solved: has to do something with the auxiliary heating (original one, fitted by the factory): the other green connector (green cable also) which you see on my pics has to be the counterpart. In my case it is connected to the small black cable which leads to connector "X5" at the auxiliary heating.
Regarding webasto docs connector "X5" is used for the circulation pump (I suppose this should be the auxiliary pump).

Does anyone of you have one of these connectors? Why is this one uncapped in my case?

Whistle

I looked over the weekend and I do not have this little one hanging out of a loom. Euro only?

Place to insert your lost border control cards?

Its like Steven of VA said perhaps its a Euro feature only. You may need to confer with other Euro owners to see if they have it. If everything works in your vehicle whats the concern?

Thanks for looking... Do you have the auxiliary heating?

My concern is why is this uncovered, what is it for? Don't believe BMW left this uncovered intentionally...

Yeah...us Yanks didn't get the Webasto (aux) heater option...so we're totally in the dark unless somebody lived in a BMW market that had them and they saw it at that time.

Did a google search (using webasto as a search term)...if you click the link below and scroll down to "reply #8"...the owner on this UK forum has pictures of his Webasto heater..and if you're on a tablet or phone...you may be able to expand the picture to see how or where the little green connector hooks up: http://xdrivers.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=625.0

I don't see the additional socket with the single green wire, unless it is tied back out of sight. My vehicle is a 2005 Diesel with factory Webasto.
