R Ur Trunk Hatch Bump Stop Bolts Rusty ?

FWIW, the left one has always gotten some rust on it's surface. I just put a little silicone clear grease in it. Just noticed the right side has started rusting....

Just curious how all of ya'lls are behaving.

Doing a pre-winter tweak and tune.

So far, I've got sways, and a oil leak that I don't see on the floor but I see residue of, that I need to find the source

Ricky Bobby will become famous soon enough
One of my spring loaded ones busted last year - when I bought a replacement pair from FCP (lifetime warrantied this time) and installed a few months ago no rust on either

However, I did get rust on the left side stopper bolt last year that I noticed - the right side one did not - we shall see if it does it again but after replacing the pair so far so good

Rust? On my X? NEVER!

You guy with rust can thank the road crews that sling corrosive swill during bad weather.

These are OE bolts.

My original ones were black/dark. They didnt seem corroded when I replaced them but I didn't really pay attention. I just assumed they were painted or anodized.

I love how those pictures have a digital time stamp. Total throw back to before phones had decent cameras.

Yeah, it's an old Sony camera.

Only 5MP, but the glass ground/polished Zeiss lens keep me from trashing it.

Should have set it to Macro for those pics.
