OBII smog help: monitors not ready

Recently the check engine light come on on my 2005 4.4. I pulled the code and found P0460 which i believe is Fuel Level Sensor. I reset and SES has not come back on. I went to get a smog but went to check for codes before I went to the shop. I found the same code stored in pending codes and cleared it.
I didn't pass smog because the following sensors ar not ready in OBII.
Cat, Evap Sensor, O2 Sesnor, O2 Sensor heater.
Not sure the relationship to the error code and monitors not ready.
If I had a bad O2 sensor would I get that code?
Any help greaty appreciated.
oh yea 184000 miles. going strong except for valve cover leaks

Don't know the specifics for your particular vehicle, but a quick search for "obd2 drive cycle" for your vehicle should have instructions to reset everything. Just driving the vehicle won't necessarily reset them all.

Thanks for quick reply. I should have mentioned that my battery maybe on its last leg. Once it would not start after sitting for 2 days. The battery is 6 years old and has 100k on it. Could this be a low voltage issue from the battery?
Also this issue started Tahoe at about 20 degrees and i am usually in SF bay area with temps above 30

A bad/weak battery could cause some cycles to never reset, so definitely a possibility. Colder temperatures could also cause delays with the catalyst I believe.

If you want to pass the smog test, quit reseting the computer. The readiness was added to prevent people from reseting error codes prior to getting their car tested. Drive the car and eventually the obd II will inform the tester that the readiness cycle are ok.
