Need Help: My rear driver side door won't open from the inside!
The other three door work perfectly fine, so not sure if it's a door mechanical problem or we may have pressed/pulled a latch somewhere on that particular door. May need to call the dealer tomorrow. Any suggestios are appreciated |

Is there a child lock switch on the door frame?

i'm sure the X5 has it, although i've not seen it nor do i know exactly where it is, but there should be a switch on the side of the rear door where it enables the child safety mechanism where it can only be opened up from the outside. many times this switch gets "activated" when you get your car washed; when you're wiping down the car, the switch accidentally gets switched to the child safety mode. hope that helps.

There is a child lock switch i believe on the driver side panel, but i tried inactivated "light off", it still won't open.
I am looking for some switch around that door, but can't find it. |

Small black button about the size of a Tic Tac on the inside of the rear doors. Open the door, look just below the rear window on the inside of the door itself, not the chassis.

it's not the switch on the drivers door, that deactivates the window controls etc, there's a switch on the door itself, not on the door/chassis frame, but on the door itself.

It's The Child Lock! Look Around The Door Frame Itself, Right Below The Handle Area & Close To The Door Lock Striker Plate.
