What does the cylinder head check valve do?
No budge. Once I get the head back on the valve is hidden forever, rather fix it now but I’m stuck. Thanks. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

It brings oil to the cams/buckts, and keeps it there for startups. If you have the head out... replace the o-ring.

Thanks. Finally muscled it out, cleaned it up, tested the movement, new o’ring, back home it goes. Thanks

What does the cylinder head check valve do?
On the M62 to remove is thread an M10 bolt in. I don't think it's threaded but it will bite enough to give you a good grip to wiggle side to side and pull it out. (you can install that way also). This one looks like it's threaded in yikes. I'd use an impact tool to break it free.
