The truffle interior looks especially nice because BMW chose to use black lower dash, console, door panel trim, and black carpet in combination with truffle brown. It's the contrast of colors that makes this interior especially nice.
 Unfortunately to get a truffle interior, you have to get sapphire or jet black. IMHO the gray and beige interiors would look better if done with similar contrasting black pieces and probably would be easier to maintain. I would want the beige and gray to be just a slight more darker. The traffic and scuff areas would now be black pieces. It's much like the choice between wearing a brown shirt and brown pants or a brown shirt and black pants. Who wants to dress like a UPS driver? What I would like to see is a black and gray interior with gray seats, gray inserts, black everywhere else and my favorite aluminum trim. This would look great in a TiAg silver X5. Maybe BMW will freshen up their interior schemes with the 2007 model. Last edited by asawadude; 04-08-2006 at 08:30 PM.
