Install Rear Seat

Took the seat bottom out to put on the protective cover, and can't get the seat bottom to latch back into the seat bottom, any ideas?

Thanks

On mine I have to put significant force on it to get it to catch the metal hook, some times even 'slamming' it down. Make sure it is all the way back toward the back cushion; and I'm sure you did this, but make sure you have pulled the middle seatbeats up through the bottom cushion before you try to reinstall it. Good luck.

I have put a ton of force on it, and it still will not latch. This is frustrating.

Last time I had to fight with it for over a week! That's why I seldom take it out.

push in with your knees/thigh, then down with your hands... provided that the seatbelt clips are already in the holes in the back... it'll go in perfectly with a solid click

Gave up and wife went to the dealer, they are fighting it as we speak. m Guy says we broke something and that is the problem.

Turns out the clips were bent, they fixed them and it works fine.

So are we, were planning on leaving on vacation in the early am.

Thumps up to Irvine BMW, for helping a pregant woman out, she played that card, when they said to come back on Tuesday.

I had the same thing happen.

It's a poor design and forcing it just bends the two cheap retainers.. I took the seat out and bent them back.. Bad news for a BMW.

Glad the dealer took care of you
