Can a TV 46" X 32" X 16" (WHD) fit in the back of the X5

Have to pick up a TV and wondering if anyone knows the dimensions of the cargo space in back?

i initially thought you wanted to install the TV in the back of your X, like on Pimp My Ride.

are those the dimensions on the TV itself or the box? the box will be totally different.

it should with the back seats down. I was able to fit a shutter frame that was 70.75 x 46.875, although my seat was moved all the way forward with the seat back moved up. Luckily I'm short so it wasn't too bad, but you shouldn't have a problem

I Assume it's a plasma. DO NOT LAY IT ON IT'S BACK. The glass is best supported VERTICALLY. It has something to do with strength, etc. Some of the plasma boxes have shipping transport levels that POP RED when it has been placed horizontally !

If you ever look at the service vans that carry glass, notice how it's always stored vertically on the sides of the van. Hope this helps

and if it's not a plasma? a regular tube TV can't be transported
on it's side or back?i'm just curious. i'm pretty sure i've
moved a tv or 2 on it's back.

at 16" deep I doubt it is a plasma, sounds like the dimensions of my Panasonic when I bought it.

Best is to keep the tv upright if you can, but it isn't going to die from one move on its side.

LOL…Funny you thought I wanted it to display out of the trunk of my X5 ala Pimp My ride. Nah not my thing.

No, I was having problems getting this TV shipped to my house by a freight company. The problem is all cleared up and the TV is sitting at my house. I thought I might have to go pick it up from their terminal so I could get it before the holiday weekend.

And its not a plasma I went with a HDTV rear projection lcd from sony.
