Well It looks like it's goodbye San Diego

Today Chuck got a great job offer in Philly,PA which is a place I've always dreamed of living ever since I visited it years ago so the cards look like we will be moving there. I've decided should we move it will be with Manunk or the suburbs. Money won't be an issue as our condo was just re-appraised for 750k which buys alot in Philly, that is assuming our condo can sell (our building was completed 12/05 and has 1/3 occupancy as of 7/1) so who knows. I love to jog outside and love the wilderness and nature so I think it will be beautiful for us. Anyone who could potentially be new neighbors of us?

I have never heard Philadelphia considered "wilderness and nature" before, but good luck in the move!

The largest park in an urban setting is in Philadelphia....it's called Fairmount Park. Used to ride my bike there plenty of time and with some nice trails for the mountain bikes....Also, Valley Forge is beautiful and great bike paths....Once you get out of center city, there are plenty of places with wilderness & nature.

Which is true about every city in the world. But then, you are not IN the city.

True, however, Fairmount Park does run through the entire Philadelphia area....once you are in it, you can't tell you are in a city....Check it out next time you are there and plenty of people jog, bike, ride horses, etc. No cars are allowed through the pathways....

Did you know that Fairmount Park is within walking distance of every Philadelphia resident? With 62 neighborhood parks, Fairmount Park is Philadelphia's 9,200 acre citywide park system.

And you get full cell signal and the ability to call ahead for a cheese steak in all 9,200 of them....
