Angel Eye DIY

I had the Angel Eyes done a few weeks ago and noticed that after power washing the X I must have a leak in the seal of one of the headlight assembly covers. Now I have mist on the inside of the headlight cover The original glue bead became a little screwed up during the install. Any idea of what type of glue BMW used, I need to take them apart again and want to make sure they are sealed properly.

Not entirely related to your query, but did you install the Angel Eyes yourself? I have a set that I have yet to get installed and I'm hoping to do it myself. I know it's a difficult installation and if you're off by a bit, the leaking can occur. How bad is your fogging situation?

I watched my mechanic do most of the install...way over my head to undertake it myself although if you are mechanically inclined it shouldn't be too difficult. My fogging problem was not bad until the powerwash. Rain did not get in at all, only after it was powerwashed did it fog and its bad enough that the entire clear lense was fogged up.

I have a very similar problem and was wondering if there might be a quick fix...(I hope). After washing, by hand, with just a hose it's fogged bad...the darn thing's bumming me out.

I'd be very greatful for any input anyone might have.

PS. any of you out here in the cape cod, ma. area?

THX, Mark
