Rear Suspension Question?

I just got back from my local BMW dealership in an attempt to see if they could lower my X5. The people I spoke with said there might be an issue with my X5 since it's a 4x4, not a 4x2. Does anyone know if it hinders the X5 to lower the rear suspension? Or does anyone know where you can go in southern Cal to see if they can do it?

I sell a part that you can install at home and just remove it whenever you go to the dealer. They will never know.

What exactly is the kit that you're selling, and how easy is it to install yourself?

I read everything that was written on the link you gave, still have a few questions. How can I tell what kind of rear suspension I have? Do you know what the pros/cons are of this? Did the first guy that bought them off you ever reply back with how easy it was for him to install?

Rear air has a holding tank mounted under the spare tire. I believe all 4.8's have air suspension?? Only downfall is if you lower it to much camber will start to be affected. You can lower it an inch or two without a problem anything more and you will get uneven tire wear over the long haul. I have gotten emails from buyers saying it was very easy to install, but no one has posted on here good or bad? Just 2 bolts per side. I can install mine with my 22's still mounted.

I'll have to check mine out, I don't have a 4.8is, I have the 4.6is. Not sure if there's a difference in the air suspension between the two models. So the maximum I would be able to lower the suspension is two inches without having a problem with the tires or anything else?

yup. Also this should fit any year with air ride and possibly could work for the front as well. I haven't tried it on the front air ride but the part number on REALOEM.com shows the same for the front and back for all years.
