Sat Nav Newbie question

I just got my 01 4.4i Sport an hour ago and I need to ask some newbie questions, in particular, the Sat Nav.

I don't know what I need to do to be able to get navigation for my car. It says insert CD. From here on, I am in a total blank.

Please help a new owner out. Thanks very much!

You need a map CD. It's made by a company called Navteq and it should be with the car. Possibly in the rear compartment on the driver's side (in the trunk).

Nope, I don't see it. Could I download it from somewhere and burn it to a CD? Will they have maps of Singapore and Malaysia? That would be most uselful to me. Thanks.
