Newbie saying Hello

Hi guys, been lurking here for a while and have decided to take the plunge and say hello. Great, friendly forum with loads of useful information!

I'm on my 2nd X3, the first was a 2.0d Sport, I currently have a 3.0d MSport and am changing it for a 3.0sd SE in April. I can't wait! Will post more but just wanted to say "Hi" first.

Cheers.

Hi, thanks for the welcome. The only pic I have of the 2.0d is from the time it was being towed away - my brother had filled it with petrol(gas) by mistake and drove it till it conked out!

The other is obviously of my MSport. No pics as yet of the 3.0sd but i really like the facelift SE, hence the reason I've gone for that (with running boards) instead of another MSport.

Welcome! I think you'll enjoy the folks here!!!

Gas in a diesel, huh? Did that cause any permanent damage?

Hi!

Um, it was a bit of a disaster. As diesels are so common here, it is a very common mistake. However, it does seem that BMW rape the customer a bit more than others, charging anywhere between £3-7000 to replace the entire fuel system. Thankfully, it was covered by my insurance to the relief of my bro'!

In the course of the repair, they managed to destroy my engine(long story) and I ended up with a new engine. Soon after, I sold it to make way for the 3.0d.

Yup! Only kept it for a few months before the upgrade. I don't take many pics of my cars in general. In fact, that particular picture was taken by my brother with his phone!

Wabbit? This is what you have to do when your X has a serious problem. Why is that funny?
