TV / Audio Hotwire

Hi there. I got the head unit below, i have no idea what model it is.

Q. Is there anyway of removing the trip switch that stops the TV from working whilst moving? I'm guessing it is on the hand brake. Is there a tutorail for this on this site?

Q. Can you improve the TV signal strength somehow?

Q. Can i remove the sat nav system, its not good.... and i have my own?

Q. Can i hook my ipod up to this head unit? Does the IceLink thingy work OK?

So many questions, i did search but didnt find whats i was looking for.

Thanks people.

Yes - you need the TVinMOTION module:

Dietz TV in Motion Interface - 1270

This will plug in between your TV module and wiring harness.

Yes, BMW does make a TV Antenna amplifier kit that increases reception by about 5dB.

You could, but everything suggested before will not work with aftermarket systems.

The ice>Link has been replaced by the DICE kit which is a newer product and much mroe reliable than the ice>Link was. More info can be found here:

DICE iPod Integration Kit for BMW

Let me know if you have any further questions.
