Window Tint Price

Today I just stoped by a local tint shop. They quoted me like 340 out the door for all exterior glass except front window, which is an extra 120. For the % of my choice.
Any suggestions on %?

You can definitely go cheaper. I have a friend who will do all 5 windows for $120 w/ lifetime warranty.

what film was it? i paid around $300 to get 3M film all around (except front) on my 540. also see if you can look at examples of their work. nothing uglier than a botched tint job... i got mine done at top of the line tint in lodi, nj (http://www.topofthelinetint.com/auto_01.html) recommended

Tint varies by location but I would say $250 MINIMUM from a pro who will install a good job and will BACK his job up if the tint fails.

Lotsa film brands on the market.
One that I want to try is a new film that is from MMM. I believe it's a non-mettallic HP film. HP film is usually *lifetime* warranty from the tinter and what intrigues me is that it's non mettalic which means it's non reflective due to no metals....which I always prefer in a tint. I prefer the dye look.

Ha. Do I drive back down to FL when I have a warranty issue.

I think Pepi down in FL is inline with the $250 range....
There's probably more competition in FL and rates in FL in general are lower as well.

Hell, Huper Optik Ceramic film runs $6-$850ish.
Is it worth it.....well that depends on the purchaser ;-)

Well, u know how it goes. It's all subjective.

I just had all of the windows done (except windshield). The going rate was $330 for most shops in the Portland, Oregon area. I had it done by a shop that was "slow" that day and got it done for $250. Beautiful job -- lifetime warranty & 3m film.

mayoa,
I used 35% on front 2 windows and 18% on the rest. Looks very nice (in my opinion) Also this is supposed to be legal in Washington State.
