best pads for a 4.6is

I have used Hawk and Green Stuff on my 330ci, but havent needed to do the breaks til now. "check brake lining" message came on today.

What do you guys recommend for the front and rear on the 4.6is?

Dust sucks, but better braking is preferred.

The stock OEM ones work very well. They just create a lot of dust. However, they're very good and even stand up to most track work.

I had Hawk's on my M3 and the less dust was great, but they made some noise. I would love to get those pads again because I want to create less dust, but I don't want the noise.
I am torn between OEM and Hawk. I would love some advice also.

I run the Axxis Deluxe dustless pads, and am very happy with them. Stopping power is on par with stock and no dust too.

I'm on PBR Deluxe too, (formerly branded as the axxis deluxe), replaced my OE pads all round with them. No noticeable difference to the OE. A little noise when cold but they are still quiet new and squea always goes after a couple of light brake applications. Never pushed my car hard enough to experience any signs of fade whether on the old OE items or the deluxe retro fit pads.

Before the change I was dealing with dust overload but now hardly have any. They reckon an 80% dust reduction but I'd put that closer to 90%. My OE sensors work fine with these too. $102 Canadian dollars inc shipping to UK for all 8 pads. I'm paranoid re anything to do with brakes so got them fitted by a bmw technician I happen to know personally. All worked out much cheaper than booking car in to local stealer and no longer having to clean my wheels after every significant trip.

I'm gonna do a complete brake job next weekend.
Considering the cost of the OEM brake pads, i opted for a set of Axxis Ultimates, for less than half the cost of OEM.

Most of us with Axxis pads get the Deluxe as I think the Ultimates are more for tracking and also give off more dust.

Agreed- They may be a little too agggresive for OE discs too. As it is the OE discs don't last for starship miles as a general rule with some replacing changed around 30k form what I recall.
