Laptop CPU running HOT!

Ever since i upgraded to 2gb ram, my 9300 inspiron has been runnning hot.

Temps for the CPU: idleing-75C, Peak 90C

Is this too hot? Should i get a notebook cooler?
thanks

Well, did some research and just bought this zalman laptop cooler.
Pricey but had high reviews.

As seems to be the answer to everything lately on this forum...

Get a mac?

I'm just kidding...

90?C is very hot. Most CPU's will shut down at 100?C.

Maybe you should look into what is causing this heat increase. I have a hard time thinking RAM would be the culprit... but who knows...

I'm all for Macs but they also use Intel processors. Are you sure they run cooler?

clean out the fans...my Toshiba used to over heat and shut off..I opened it up and pulled out a rediculous layer of dust...could be the problem.

90C? are you sure? at 100F the machine should shut down. Are you sure that you put the correct RAM in the machine?
