If you don't return my pants I'll sue you for 65 million dollars
(AP) The Chungs, immigrants from South Korea, realized their American dream when they opened their dry-cleaning business seven years ago in the nation's capital. For the past two years, however, they've been dealing with the nightmare of litigation: a $65 million lawsuit over a pair of missing pants. Jin Nam Chung, Ki Chung and their son, Soo Chung, are so disheartened that they're considering moving back to Seoul, said their attorney, Chris Manning, who spoke on their behalf. "They're out a lot of money, but more importantly, incredibly disenchanted with the system," Manning said. "This has destroyed their lives." The lawsuit was filed by a District of Columbia administrative hearings judge, Roy Pearson, who has been representing himself in the case.

The guy is a judge, yet's he's brought a blatantly frivolous lawsuit to the courts over a pair of pants, which by the way were found. He should be kicked off the bench and disbarred. He's up for reappointment. We'll see how his obvious misuse of the judicial system affects his career and livelihood.

Since I live in the DC area, heard about that a month ago. It's ridiculous. What's wrong with our society?

Being a dry cleaner myself, I can feel for the guy. Some people in this world don't know when to stop. I can't believe this has gotten this far, isn't there someway of stopping these type of cases before they destroy someones life for a pair of freak'n pants. Not everyone is a lawyer and can defend themselves. Damn gold diggers.
I just heard about this earlier today through our State Associations Executive Director. |

Abuse of power! Let’s see how far it this gets but IMO it got too far already.
