Production Times
I ordered my car on July 1st and was quoted 4 weeks for the car to be built and at the dearler. I have read several posts that are making me think that my car will not be at the dealer in another 2.5 weeks. I have a lease that will end on August 13th, and need a car by that time. The salesman always replies with a "Yes it will be here" or "Thats when we are thinking it will arrive". I am beginning to become skeptical especially after reading several posts about 2 months wait time or longer. If they had a spot open and the car just heppend to be unclaimed at the West Virginia plant, is 4 weeks a reasonable time estimate? Or should I be preparing myself to play hardball with the dealership. Thank you for your posts. |

Where in the country are you? If you are close to South Carolina and the car is built, then it would be a good possibility to have the car in 4 weeks.
I would call BMW Customer Service 800-831-1117 and see if they can track the order for you. They have been pretty spot on with delivery times. I was in a similar situation as you, and my dealer got me a car to drive while I was in between cars. Maybe that could be another option for you. |
