[b]Check your oil level, check your water level in radiator, does your X have full history? If so when was it last serviced and were the Plugs replaced, if not, replace the plugs. As you have warranty I would just make a big fuss about it at the dealers and ask them to sort it out.

If over filled I would drain it to the correct level first, and try again for a day to see what the X is like. Not sure what the figure is on plug change as I do that myself, its a simple a DIY job for me.

No problem! Best thing to do if you have purchased a car with un-sure history is: Have the engine oil and filter changed, depending on miles have the gearbox oil and filter change and as I mentioned do the plugs, and also change the air filter.

I am confused as to what connection the white smoke has with either the oil level or the plugs.

White smoke indicates coolant, black smoke indicates overfueling, blue smoke indicates oil. A small amount of white smoke is more than likely condensation and not coolant, but I would check the coolant level anyway.

To the untrained eye some people refer to the blue/white smoke as just white smoke, so I was giving "dealer-bmw" a heads up on things to look at. I also said in my first reply, to check the water level!! also "dealer-bmw" mentioned no history with the X, so it would be wise to have a good look around the X and for peace of mind I would be have it serviced.

i got a diagnostic on the truck today and the code said it needed one of the 4 02 sensors in the rear, possible why truck is causing white smoke. I have an appt for repair at the dealer next week.
