Discount on purchase ($$$)

All,

I apologize for all the questions, but if anyone bought their x5 from a nj or ny, what was the discount you got? Did anyone get $2K under MSRP or did some ppl get $1K over invoice.

Thanks. I am just trying to sort all this out before contacting any dealership.

What model are you considering, the 4.8i or 3.0si? Made a difference when I went to order my '08 E70. Essentially, a NJ - Bergen County BMW dealer offerred me $1500 off MSRP for the 3.0si and $2000 off MSRP for the 4.8i on my '08 order. Ended up going 3.0si, since it'll serve mostly as a baby\family transporter.

I've seen others report getting bigger discounts, and I'm sure if I would have shopped around, may have been able to save an additional $500-$1000 more, but I plan to service my car with my dealer so I didn't mind paying the difference.

PM me if you want info on my dealer and SA.

Good luck with your hunting\purchase!

E61Silver is an unknown quantity at this point
It sounds like the 2008 model may have more standard features.

Do you think this will affect pricing? My SA thinks pricing will remain close too, if not the same, as '07's.

Hope some of the options I've selected are part of the 'more standard features', which potentially will lower my finalized purchase price. X-ing my fingers....

2k off MSRP is not uncommon in NY... try to work out something w/the dealer for 08 now...

i am being offered 2k off (or same pricing of 07) whichever is less..
