for some reason, the harness must have been unplugged
im not a pro at this, but you might want to open it up and check it out. Im not sure if there is a fuse for that light

Thanks for your help. I will check the harness, I could not find a fuse for those lights, but the left one works and the right one doesn't weird!

I just had mine replaced. And by replaced, I mean the entire trim was replaced because of water seepage. If water gets in there, it's pretty much toast. The replacement requires them to change out the entire tail gate handle with the lights and must be painted to match your car.

I had a friend help me re-wire the lights. As stated, water got in there and destroyed the harness. We just cut and rewired and it works fine ever since.
