'02 X Tailgate rattle fixed

Hi guys, this is far from being a new thread however I just wanted to make others aware of a v cheap way to get rid of tailgate rattles. It may not be your answer as I believe it could be one of the rubber stops, try it and see.
For half an hour of your time and some loose change you might end up like me in a rattle free cab.

It might not last but if I get a year or so out of it I'm happy to do it again

BTW I couldn't find felt, but I was able to buy a 2"w x 1 foot long piece of the 'soft' half side of self adhesive Velcro tape for $1Aus. Going for the record for cheapest Beemer repair.
Make sure you give the latch a good clean with metho or similar first for good adhesion.

DinanX5 gave me this idea which he had posted way way back on the 10.25.05. Thnx heaps Dinan Hope it works for you.

Seek (the threads) and thow shalt find......

In the U.S felt pads could be found in Home Depot stores. Yes I did the same with a little more felt applied to the side of the latch too. No rattles for the last 2 and 1/2 years.
