X3 Auto Selector Knob replacement

I'd like to change my X3 Auto box selector knob for a Titanium trimmed one that matches my interior trim. An ebay seller has one for an E90 (new 3 series) - can anyone tell me if this will fit the E83 stalk or do I have to get one specifically for the E83?

Thanks.

I don't think it will fit. The stem lengths are different for the various models.

Hmmm ... I did wonder. Apparently the E46 will fit.

Thanks for the info though.
