September X Series sales were down 4.0%

September sales of the BMW X3 and X5 Series totaled only 6,443 units, down 4.0% from the 6,713 trucks sold last September. However, YTD sales of the X Series are up 8.7% when compared to the first 9 months of 2004.

For those of you who are interested Mercedes-Benz sold 2,727 M Class units this month, up 21.3% from the 2,249 sold last September. The all new 2006 Model Year M Class was introduced in April, 2005. Note that the first R Class models were sold this month.

Well, that's because of the 3.5% financing here in Canada. ALL the X3's were sold out and we're awaiting the `06's.....

You're right in stating that (in all likelihood) the release of the new R-Class (which at the very least got people IN MB dealerships), coupled with the new M-Class (VERY nice SUV, by the way) is probably affecting X3 and even probably X5 sales. Just wait a year until the '07 X5 is released though!
