Harmon Kardon drive + Play FM Transmitter
I am thinking about purchasing this unit for my x5 to use with my ipod. Anyone ever install it, or heard anything about it, good or bad? Thanks |

Never liked FM transmitters myself, however the Harmon Kardon Drive + Play does have a 3.5mm audio out (ok if you have an aux input on your X). IMO a better option would be Intravee II or Dice.

Yes I agree but right now due to cost this is the way I have to go. I've read several reviews and most all say this is a good unit for cost.

Ok sure the HK is only about $90. I bought the Griffin Roadtrip recently for one of our company cars and it works ok.

I had this in my van and it worked pretty well. Would get some static hiss sometimes. I paid about $20 for mine from a discount store.The only thing was that it did not come with the hard wire kit (it is a separate part). The cheapest that I could find the wire for was $20.(!). You can find both on Amazon for under $30 now. ( PS can someone tell me how to add pics. It says that my file is too large, Thanks, not trying to hijack
)
