Chicagoland - Mechanic
The inspection resulted in replacement of cracked front right CV boot and repair of a rear brake light assembly covered under our certified pre-owned warranty and nonwarranty replacement of belts. The inspection noted avneed for new brakes pads, which they wanted around $900 for all four (2mm and 3mm, respectively). This amount just did not seem reasonable to me. Any thoughts? Cheers! Go to VFC Engineering in Ravenswood. A friend of mine who is the VP of Windy City BMW recommended them to me a few months ago and I will no longer go back to the dealer for routine maintenance. After Perillo wanted $300 for an oil service, I decided to give VFC a shot. I took my '05 X5 4.4sport to them and they did did an oil change and essentially inspected everything for $90. I will need a brake job soon and I plan to go back to them.
I will PM you with more information. |
