Try bimmerboard or roadfly. This is an X5 board.

But the E53 uses the same technology. So has anyone with an X5 up to 2006 connected a Storm sucessfully?

True, but most X5's didn't come with a ULF, much less the 13th version of it. Most came with the TCU. So my suggestion was that you might get more info on another board that has the car you have and likely the same electronics setup from stock.

Yes, the storm works with the ULF. This is a good site to ask, because at least half of the X5s here do have the ULF installed. Plus, many others, like me, frequent this forum and have the ULF.

FYI, the Storm syncs up no problem with the 13th gen ULF.

Excellent follow-up. This is one of the two best forums on the Internet for BMW's I-Bus Bluetooth systems, so it is great to keep the information as current as possible.
