Basney in South Bend forgot diesel exhaust fluid

I took my 2009 35d to Basney Imports in South Bend for the recommended oil change around 10k miles. About 12K miles got the would not start warning (diesel exhaust fluid low). The dealer FORGOT renew the deisel exhaust fluid. I had to make a trip back on my day off to have them do this. It so happens that I was the first diesel that they had serviced! All of the mechanics were reading a piece of paper telling them how to replace the fluid. It kind of scared me. I hope they put the correct type of oil in the engine. It sort of makes you wonder if they had any training on diesels.

No joke. There is only ONE oil approved for the diesel, and it needs to be checked out of the parts department and poured in bottle by bottle.

My fear is they would use the 55gallon drums of the 'regular BMW oil'...

Old post I know...
