Finally picked up an X5, and it's a MANUAL!!!

Well after much searching we finally found what we were looking for. It's an 02' 3.0 with every option besides xenons, nav, sport package and steptronic. The only option I wish it had was the sport package but I love the heated steering wheel which wouldn't be there if it had the sport package.

It's got higher miles then we wanted but for how much it was we weren't able to pass it up. I have a couple of mods planned but nothing to crazy. I originally wanted to do the updated clear lights all the way around with angel eyes, but the amber lights actually go very well with the blue and I think I'll be keeping them. I would however like to do an exhaust and intake with some tuning as it is pretty quiet right now but I'm worried about it droning on the highway because of the low gearing. I also have a set of style 5 bbs wheels off of a sport package e39 5 series. Will these wheels fit on the x5? I'd love to use them as a set of summer wheels and think they would look awesome. Anyways here's a couple of pics, I will post up more later on when I get to take some in some good light.

Here's some of my other bmw's:

Congrats on your new car and it being a manual! There are not many of us
here with the old 5 spd. Get used to 2nd gear starts on any downhill you
have their in Pittsburgh, and high rpms at highway speed. But, fun & different
and our manual has been bulletproof for 8 yrs/73k miles.

If you were to put some dedicated winter tires on those 17"s on your
X, it is a Mtn Goat in winter, even without X-Drive.

No idea on your wheel question; maybe post the "style #", or one of the
knowledgeable E39 fiver people may know, but my guess is it would be
a weird fit.

Welcome to the "manual" club. I too owned (well owned) a E30. Enen though it was the "es" model and had no get up and go, that was the best car I have ever owned (see sig for pics). I really miss that car.
