Camshaft sensors. replaced them, now I get three codes?!?!

So i got codes for intake and exhaust camshaft sensors... replaced them myself, and for a day it was fine, running smoother than ever. then the day after, went out, came back and started the car and it stalled out again. Went to auto parts to get it scanned, gave me code P1525, P0340, P0369. Two of them are camshaft sensors, the other one says manufacture specific DTC (P1525).
The sensors I put in were from Advanced auto parts, brand name BWD. Would that have anything to do with it, or should I just go back and check them and take them out and put them back in, maybe theirs a leak somewhere?

Or should I just take those back and order OEM from bavauto.

P1525 - "A" Camshaft Position Actuator Control Open Circuit Bank . Anyone have an idea to what that means?

I replaced both with oem from the dealer. I have had no issues at all but I was advised against using aftermarket parts for that. Try re installing the old sensors after cleaning them thoroughly and see if the codEs go away.

Great Ill give that a try. Any suggestions on what to clean it with?

I've seen many people install aftermarket sensors and have the codes come right back. They all end up buying new OEM sensors and not having any other problems... I have yet to see an aftermarket cam sensor work properly for some reason.

I just used some diluted rubbing alcohol.

I've had the exact same thing happen when I installed eBay sensors for a customer of mine. Never again because then he came back about 3x, expecting me to warranty the sensors, call the seller, etc. Sadly, this is the one time I can only recommend factory sensors...I've seen it on other boards as well, so until an online supplier starts getting good results and are posted online, we've only got one resource for them.

Since they're so new, I'd simply return them, throw in your old ones and get them from the stealership...try to get a CCA discount if you can!

Great thanks all for the help. Going to take them out and have them replaced with OEM early this week. Really hope that's what the problem is. Will update with a final solution/fix.

Update - replaced the BWD intake sensor with the original OEM one. Started right up, no long cranking or stalling, and the check engine light went away... hopefully it will be the end of this.

Glad Weasel and I could help. While Weasel works there, I'm just an indy, so I'm the last person to head to the dealership for parts, but this was the one time where it was a live and learn situation for me as well.
