new noise

hi everyone...a new issue developed with the x yesterday..when i put the car in reverse i hear a pretty loud buzzing noise coming from underneath the floor of the rear hatch area..when i put car in drive it goes away..to me it sounds like the compressor of the rear air suspension kicks on when putting car in reverse..as long as you keep car in reverse you hear the noise..not getting any warnings displayed in dash...car is sitting ok...2005 4.4 26k miles...can anyone help.thanks rob

false alarm with the noise...it was the rear wiper going on when i put car in reverse...i couldnt tell it was the wiper because someone stole it a few weeks ago and i cant tell if it is on or not..somehow i must have pushed the stalk forward and not realized it so everytime i put car in reverse wiper was activated..thanks rob
