BMW on CNBC special tonight
CNBC’S “BMW: A Driving Obsession” Will Premier on July 13th
On Wednesday, July 13th at 9pm ET, CNBC will premiere “BMW: A Driving Obsession”, a CNBC Original documentary reported by award-winning correspondent Carl Quintanilla. The one-hour documentary will tell the story behind the BMW Group, a company that is a global leader in designing, engineering and manufacturing premium vehicles. Quintanilla takes viewers inside the BMWGroup’s Research and InnovationCenterwhere teams ofengineers are creating the future of mobility in the form of vehicles with performance, sustainability and advanced technology expected of the world’s top premium vehicle manufacturer. In the process Quintanilla speaks with BMW acoustic technicians and designers, ergonomic engineers and crash specialists regarding the important role they all play in bringing to life vehicles that embody “The Ultimate Driving Machine”. He also profiles BMW’s chief designer and explains the design process that begins with a pencil sketch and ends with new models that are at the leading edge of design. CNBC also travels to the Goodwood Estate located in West Sussex, England to visit the Rolls-Royce Motor Cars facilities where viewers will get to see the hand assembly of one of the world’s finest automobiles. CNBC’s “BMW: A Driving Obsession” will premiere on Wednesday, July 13th at 9pm ET. The documentary will repeat that evening at 10pm ET, 12am ET and 1am ET. Crap, wish I had CNBC.......in college cable was free in on-campus housing and I enjoyed watching their documentaries on weeknights. Made for excellent discussion with my peers when we hung out........
Now I don't have cable anymore

Only if something is needed for another test, never on a production car! The company build lots of test cars that are just driven, but can never be sold. They usually come with a mis-mash of options that are crazy. Red interiors with blue dashboards and grey headliners with tan carpets etc.
All of these cars you see on the streets of Munich / Spartanburg with taped camo will eventually be crushed or cut apart to see what's going on. |

Great watch. Wish I was Carlos Quintanilla last night driving in the Autobahn. Had my wife watch it, and she almost cried when the X5M rolled over on the test and says "we need to upgrade to one of those".
