winshield washer system please help

So I took my reservoir out because it was leaking water and realized the pumps were just a little loose. While I was doing it I broke one of the hose connectors off one of the rear pumps. I ordered one on ebay and the rear is now working fine. I made a mistake though and left all the wires just hanging for a few days while the new pump came (out of the way so not to melt) and when I hooked the windshield pump back up nothing is happening. First thing I checked the fuse #27 (windshield washing system) and that was fine. Then I assumed the pump went bad when I removed it so I bypassed it to a hot and ground and it works fine. I then took my wire testers and checked the pump plug and I'm not getting any power when I push the washer button. I checked the wires and nothing got melted or cut. It worked fine prior to me taking the reservoir apart.
