Extended Maintenace??

I have extended maintenance on my 2006 X5. I took it in to the Stealer as I also have extended warranty (there will be another thread shortly addressing this).

My rotors have never been replaced. I have 88K on the truck. They are lipped and bery obvious they need replaced. Stealer said my aftermarket brake pads (Porterfield) caused this and they are not covered.

The other interesting thing is the Stealer told me that even with the extended maintenance, if the rotors were too thin, but the brake pads were still OK, no replacement of anything. Sees like a liability to me.

Oh yeah, all this great news cost me $129 for inspecting.

Anyone have any good arguments against this to get them to replace them?

It doesn't seem fair that they won't replace the rotors, but in fact they don't need to under the terms of the maintenance plan, since you went to aftermarket pads. You can try another dealer, and see if you get any further. Good luck.
