aftermarket navigation unit by "witson" anyone has this installed??? in your x5?

after doing some research to see what will be nice to replace my main radio/cassette unit for my x5,

i found this site, www.witson.com,
of course from china,

and they have 2 units that will fit x5 e53 (1999-2006)

unit 1: is a 6.2''
link: here

unit 2: is a 7.0''
link here

now,the specs look okay,i am willing to give it a shoot and buy one, they accept western union and paypal,

i did not see this on ebay,i only found them on alibaba site and one more ,i think, the priceis anywhere from 400 to 550 for this units...(still waiting for email reply from them)

now,in my x5 2001 4.4l ,right now i have the radio and in top the cassette deck,

i also notice that in some tread people was talking about the MID radio ,and they installed that in the globox compartment ,so my question is do we have to have that there ? or we dont have to?

i also notice people talking about ''DSP" and it look like i have that button on my radio in the right side ,but i did not check in the truck if i have that speaker box yet...

can some one clarify this for me,
and also if anyone has this installed in their x5 please post here how you did it,and if all okay, how is it running ?
any problems?

thank you for any info!

few pictures from what i have right now:

Hi the main reason people install in trhe glove is to keep the OBC the onboard computer intact and also the steering wheel controls. I have not installed that model
but read those threads you are referring to. I just clicked the liks.. it looks like another remix of the dynavin and hualigan from someone else. juust search the threads on here for dynavin and hualigan.. some say it has distinct bugs. Alot of post on it.

yap,i think "witson" is a new company and their price is lower than " dynavin and hualigan"

i just wanted to know if any buy from them...

and how their units are,and how they respond...

so the OBC is the button on the right down "bc"?

hmmm,so thats why they have to keep that!,,but do we have to?,, i never checked that obc ....i just look at the front where the miles are for any problems...

thanks

Since you have DSP you HAVE to relocate the MID in the glove box and the radio in the trunk. For non DSP equipped cars is optional but for it's a must, unfortunately.

wow,it sounds like a lot of work...

so after installing the new unit

why the "radio in the trunk",to relocate in the trunk?

also,

is there any complete guide ,step by step how this is done? to install and relocate everything?

thank you friend.

I stand corrected I looked a little more in detail at the units. They moved the buttons around and changed the OS so that means it not exactly the hualigan or dynavin. They could have also just reskinned it. These really are nothing more then mini carpcs
having built a carpc back in the day. I wish i had the oem navi I would do the CARX project. Carx was a project that utilized the actual bmw headunit
CarX24
its also on youtube.
