What a good Video Interface for X5 E53 4.6is ?

Dear Dudes,

My car is X5 E53 4.6is of year 2002, with 16:9 Navigation Wide Screen Car Monitor at front console, CD Changer at side trunk, Radio/ Sound Module + DSP Amplifier/ Video Module are under the trunk.

I am going to install
(a) Gateway 300 to have iPod musics through the audio system
(b) Reverse camera

Pls adv what a good and affordable Video Interface or Converter suitable for my case in order to have different audio and video sources on the original car monitor
Maybe I have video source from iPhone to have Youtube or DVD other than just iPod and CD musics

There are 3 solutions found in here, and may fit into my needs as follows:
1/ Universal RGB Low-End Car Video Interface
Universal RGB Low-End Car Video Interface - Video Interfaces - Multimedia Interfaces - CarSolutions Online Shop
2/ Wire Harness
eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace
3/ iPod/ iPad/ iPhone musics or sounds receiver
just use the bluetooth function of iPod/iPad/iPhone, and add a BT Receiver into the Gateway 300. All sounds from these sources would be transmitted to the audio system through Gateway 300.

Pls share your experiences and adv yr comments to see if my ideas can be workable.

Thx in advance

I think the simplest option may be what member killcrap suggested to you on the E53 forum...A/V input retrofit I tapped mine for oem headrest monitors/dvd player.

However, the simplest option cannot fit my need on the Reverse Camera, right? if so, what another option I can do?

With certain video modules, yes, a simple option. Not sure if most do, but the modules in the links from your other thread have a combination of A/V input for DVD player, reverse camera, as well as A/V output for headrest monitors.

Here's another: Bimmernav TV Video Module Kit

If still unsure, i still recommend locating a shop with A/V expertise to advise and install.

as per Intravee, they said the OEM TV module already have a reversing camera and
AV video input.
The pins on the TV module for the reversing camera are
not connected, but can easily be wired up, there is also an activation pin
which selects the reversing camera input. Many X5's are supplied with an
AV input jack in the rear of the center console

Is it right?

Since I dun know where the TV module is if I have, but I just know that my car can get TV frequency and view it.
